JEREMIE OF YFM EXCAPES DEATH

The renowned broadcaster Jeremie Van Garshong of YFm107.9-Ghana, last Monday escaped death narrowly in her home around 3am.

A severe backache touched the broadcaster for a week, taking her off her show and almost all activities the voice over queen plus other work had to do.

The popular voice behind “YLounge” a show hosted on Yfm 107.9 explained her attack as; “It was about 3am in the morning and I wanted to urinate, normally I do visit the wash room in the middle of the night and that day was no exception but seriously I could not move”.

She added that: I tried several times but could not move at all, so I screamed out so loud, but nobody could hear a voice because my BET (TV) was blazing so hot that nobody could hear.

Seriously I can’t sleep without my TV on, Jeremy stressed on. Furthermore she said: “I had to struggle to pick up my phone, call my dad (she calls her father Papa), whose door is next to mine to come help out”.

I knew my Papa will be wondering what a grown lady meant by I can’t move to the wash room but he came to my room around and saw me (Jeremie) lying on my bed stable.

Papa carried me to the wash room fixing me to the toilet seat and funny enough taking down my pants (under wear) for me to urinate, Jeremy lamented on.
What makes this whole experience funny and interesting was that, my Papa has not seen me like seen me in a very long time, so I felt a bit embarrassing but I could not do anything, she said laughing.

After that horrible midnight experience the top class broadcaster, voice over queen could not move to the hospital, doctors had to come home to treat her and all that, friends had to wish her well the fascinating thing is the sickness took her out for a week.

On her return, she advises the witches, wizards and haters: “the next time you want to attack me, you should not give me a dreadful backache because it is no joke”.

“All those who tried to stop me, I am back to what I love doing, she later added. In connection to that she explained that she is not only back to do a good show, she is back to enjoy what she loves doing”.

I miss everybody, my DJ, the microphones, listeners and everyone, plus, yeah Thank God for getting me back, it feels god to be back, Jeremie’s final words.

“YLounge” is on every week from Monday to Thursday between the hours of 7pm to 9pm and catch Jeremie on Saturday mornings as well, all on YFM107.9 the station for the young and younger at heart.

BLAQ SUEDE GETS MUISC VIDEO NOMINATION

The hip Life/Apro pop music duet Blaq Suede has made it to the 4Syte TV music Video Awards 2010, scheduled for the 20th of November at the International conference Center.

Blaq Suede with songs like Take Control, “Tayataya” and ‘Mewuraba’ the group enjoyed massive airplay last year from radio, TV and Online earning them the nomination.

Camping in the category, Best Reggae video, the group is knocking heads with Shasha Marley and the rest, but they are not looking forward for a disappointment.

“We know the value of the song, it is a clear fact that the song stands out, matching an equal good well conceptual video, so yes we hope to grab the award, Diojo” told us.
It has been long overdue for Ghanaians to recognize and acknowledge the difference between a good work and shoddy work.

The easiest way to do that now, is to vote the song ‘Memuraba’ to win this year’s best reggae Video at the upcoming 4syte TV Music Awards 2010 by texting the song to 1924 on your Vodafone and all other networks.

“The story is told of three friends planning the secret and surprise bridal ceremony for another friend. Boys put together a typical traditional setting and atmosphere blending it with the western kind of bridal ceremonies.

Just like their type of music, a fusion of western and traditional (Local), Blaq Suede showed a touch of class in their traditional wedding ceremony, meaning the video explained the wealthiest reason why they should win the category.

Fans are of the view that, may be after they have voted the group to win the category, the two, made up of Dickson Williams and Ishmael Opoku Acheampong might come back together.

Well no one knows the kind of miracle an award such as the 4syte TV music Award for best reggae video category will change, so why don’t you vote the song, “Mewuraba” to 1924 on your Vodafone and all other networks, now.

Atlanta police: T.I. helped talk down jumper

ATLANTA – Police got unexpected help talking a suicidal man down from an Atlanta skyscraper on Wednesday when rapper T.I. showed up.

Officer James Polite says the hip-hop star joined the crowd outside the 22-story office building in midtown Wednesday and told officers he wanted to help. Police said the man agreed to come down in exchange for a few minutes face-to-face with T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris.

"I told him it ain't that bad. It'll get better, to put the time and effort into making it better," T.I. said in a phone interview with The Associated Press. "I just reminded him know that I know. It looks bad right now, but it can turn around."

T.I. said he heard about the situation on the radio and drove to the building to help. He recorded a video of himself on a cell phone and rescue workers took it to the man to prove the rapper was really there.

The Atlanta native said the man seemed to be "beat up by life."

The suicidal man, whose name wasn't released, was taken to a hospital.

The good deed follows recent legal trouble for the rapper, who is due in court Friday for a parole hearing after being arrested on suspicion of drug offenses last month in Los Angeles. He's on supervised release after spending a year in prison on federal weapons charges.

“WHO IS BOGUS” THE NEW SINGLE FT. ASEM, SARKODIE & GURU?

Inside Pentium Studios, Spintex comes another hit single ‘who is bogus’, the song features Sarkodie, Guru and ASEM.

Putting together the chorus of this song it was difficult to get the perfect drum pattern and the kind of artiste to ride on this instant hit.
If you have ever recorded a song before you will know that music connects, any singer will testify to the fact that if you finish writing your chorus a name of a particular rap artiste comes into mind.

I had three artistes in mind, ASEM, SARKODIE & GURU, who do I work with?
My first artiste was the sensational ASEM, a look at his past glory and lyrical prowess.

He got into the lime light with the song “Give Me Blow”, the lyrics of that songs were not too strong as a rap musician.
His rhythmic lines were tight on that song as the magic behind that song’s break through was the Profanity behind the song.

ASEM with that hit grew in structure in words, as shown in ‘Pigaroo’, the ladies loved it but the guys still had problems with his lyrical content, many said he was still not matured as a rap artiste.

One person said “the song he did with mad Fish and Black prophet was good but in his song featuring VIP, his timing had a problem.
Guru and Sarkodie pair was difficult to select, because they had their power points and their weaker points.

To start with was Sarkodie, “he is lyrically strong, sounds matured, confident and understands what he is saying on a track.
Music is information; hence Sarkodie gives out information and allows people to absorb the information.

In the song with Obrafour, Sarkodie did well with his composition, same with the song ‘Baby’ I am sure it showed the other side of the artiste, that he could do it for the guys and for the ladies.

On the issue of Guru, many said he is also lyrically strong, well composed and has a strong commanding voice. ‘He is exciting to listen to, the only problem here is, and sometimes GURU hardly sends a message across.
He starts his flow very well; he will lose it along the way and end it at a different situation.

The decision is now yours to decide which artiste should feature on my new single ‘WHO IS BOGUS’ take into considerations, maturity, stage performance, lyrical prowess, voice, creativity, and originality.

KWAW KESSE’s HEAD TO BE CHOPPED OFF.

Information reaching nanayawwiredu.blogspot.com/18.COM is that a new duet artiste who hails from Swedru in the Central Region has come to chop off the head of Kwaw Kesse, lyrically.

This new group whose identity we will like to keep to our chest for the mean time, is recording with Lynx Entertainment’s hit man, Richie, on two songs and all targets one artiste the King of the Street, Kwaw Kesse.

Our source made it known that the group is well known in their homeland, Swedru and have being doing music for some time.

In addition the source added that, this new artiste did not come to make money or do business in the industry, rather they came for the ‘KILL’ on Kwaw Kesse.
Their aim is to disgrace the hip life artiste to their highest ability, this they made known to our source as their reason for coming into the game late, after they have understudied him and all his ways.

Stressing on the fact that, the Hiplifer Kwaw Kesse turns to be insulting industry players in the game, including those who come from Swedru, his homeland soldiers.
“We have made enough money to keep us alive in the game till the very last time we see the Hiplifer go down the drain and then we will back off, the new group told our source.”

Kwaw Kesse, whose new single titled ‘Killer Be Wo last show’, mention names like KOD, Jon Germain, among others, has not gain much presence in the industry for some time now as compared to the previous one, will this attack bring his hype back into the game, since he is known for such acts.

Probably this new group is looking at using Kwaw Kesse as a stepping stone to build a music career, despite their intensions not to stay in the game for long.
For a man to be the King of the Street, it means every street promotion, including attacks such as these are not too harmful to his life and he will easily survive them rapidly.

Eyes are still following this story to bring all updates, development and disappointment from both the accuser and accuse and all necessary information will be made public as when we lay hands on it.

KABENA KWABENA SET FOR OCT.18th WITH SARKODIE

Kwabena Kwabena the admired high life singer, is set to return on the blissful day of his life, his birthday Oct 17th with a new single which features Sarkodie.

The song is the usual style of the High Life singer, a story of him dealing with a relationship problem but this time it speaks on certain areas of his personal life.
Spotted on the Late Night Celebrity show, the singer disclosed that his new album will be coming next year, but in order not to keep his fans staving, he has prepared a huge package for them on Oct 17th 2010.

“I have gone through many challenges these few times, many thought it will take a toll on my career but thanks be to God Almighty, I grow stronger and heavier with my song every time”, Kwabena told the host of the late night celebrity show, Sammy forson.

A freestyle form the singer got everyone, those on set and viewers across the world, asking for more, as text messages response and in house behavior from the co guest Roger Quartey and the host Sammy Forson proved the richness of the new single.

His ideas never run out as a high life/hip life artiste and when he is on the Guitar, he understands every string he pulls to give a specific sound. Kwabena’s ability to link his voice to his guitar, is amazing, one word Sammy Forson could not stop using during his interaction with the singer.

The new single from Kwabena has Ghana’s fastest rapper, Sarkodie, who delivered commercial ‘TWI’ on the track, as once again he (Sarkodie) has proven why he can’t be touched in the industry when it comes to love songs, whether apologizing or proposing.

A song recorded by Martin (Beat Producer), mixed and mastered by UBEATS/ Hubert, the fingers behind majority of hits in the country inside ‘Suokora’, Accra is set to be released on the cheerful day in the life of the musician.

Come the seventeenth day in the tenth month, of the year, a new single will be outdoor to the world from Kwabena Kwabena, whose ‘Bibini’ album is doing so well in the industry.

To catch the new single on your favorite radio station you will need a to get a radio by you and to do that is easy, book the day on your calendar, so you will not forget.

NANA BOROO TURNS ACTOR, SINCE MUSIC IS THORNY

For the second time running Nana Osei Bonsu, musically known as Nana Boroo or B’ross has been caught acting in a movie.
The musician whose hard times are near with regards to his music career crashing, probably is being man enough to try acting if music is being complicated.

Nana Boroo was caught in the movies, “The Game” and “Seduction”, he played minor roles in both movies. In the movie, “The Game”, the musician was put to play a shop attendant role accompanied by his female counterpart in a jewelry shop.

Rumors have it that the jewelry shop used in that movie belonged to a family member of the musician, but could that be why he was used in that scene, to protect the shop?

Also in the movie, ‘Seduction’ Nana Boroo played a minor role as been part of a movie production house. “No Comment”, the only words the musician said in the movie.
Is being a musician been complex for the one time hit maker or is he trying to prove his adaptability in the entertainment industry, probably, Nana Boroo is trying to test all waters to find out which of them is good.

So far so bad for him in the music industry, he is finding hard times to survive in the game and who knows, after playing two minor roles continuously, some directors will try him as a supporting lead actor very soon, if he proves his worth in his new found love.

Nana Osei Bonsu, is not the only musician to be in the movie industry and still doing active music. If traces are taken from the foreign artistes, majority of them produce, act and finance movies but those musicians still have they music career intact, hence the movies boost their music.

An artiste proves beyond all odds that he is versatile, when he does different genres in the music industry and he is accepted, but not when he can hardly find his feet in the music industry, decides to try movies.

Is it a sign in disguise for fans of the ‘AHAYEDE MAN’ that he is gradually trying the movie industry to find out if he can survive there, since he would not have to write his script or compose a movie sound bite over there?

All characters in a movie are feed with a good script, so with good facial expressions and perfect body language, one can stand in front of a camera and recite his script, and then he will be called an actor.

It is possible that industry will work for B’ross, he looked cool in those two movies he played a role and above all he had a good facial expression plus a perfect body language with enough command over his script in the movie, “SEDUCTION”.

You are still in the entertainment industry B’ross, so ‘Kasee Vim’ and ‘Afe Yema Wo Vim’ to try acting if been a musician is getting thorny.

ZIGI PERFORMS ‘MAGIC’ BUT GOES WITH EAZZY.

Astoundingly ‘Raise your Hands’ by Zigi, from Lynx Entertainment is the only song to have been ‘Flashed’ and later ‘Pushed’ by listeners of Y107.9fm’s show Drive of Your life in their Face the music segment of the show.

If a song is flashed on that show it means listeners do not want to hear it again and it should not be added to the GH songs played on that show.
When it is pushed, it actually means listeners wants to hear it over and over again; hence it should be added to the GH songs played on that show.

The song was actually “flashed” on the first day it was aired but on the next day received a “Push”.
What must have done the magic or did people change their mind on the song, could it be that they did not listen to it well, probably Lynx Entertainment put people in place to ‘Push’ it, well the song ‘Magically’ became a push and is now enjoying some good response.

A review of the song from the Lynx signed singer shows that it has traces of Ezzay’s “Wegeze”, same pattern and arrangement.
What is the plan this time from Lynx Entertainment, is it to use the same promotional strategy Eazzy used to break through for Zigi?

During an interview with Sammy Forson on the Late Night Celebrity show, Kwaku Sarpong Plah, musically known as ‘Zigi’, popularly known as “You Say Wey Tin” said that ‘Raise Your Hands’ is just the single to pave away for the hit album.

He also added that, he worked so hard on the upcoming album, featuring top shots like Okyeame Kwame, Ezzay, Tinny, Asem, OJ Blaq, Richie, among others.
Explaining how he had the name ZIGI, the singer could not actually remember how it all happen but knew it was from way back.

“Honesty, I don’t remember how I had the name Zigi, he told the host of the show, but all I know is that the name has been there since childhood, specifically primary education”.

Zigi, who admitted of cheating while in a relationship, by kissing another girl freckly and also throwing a knock out into his head masters office during his primary education, told Ghanaians to expect another “MAGIC” coming their way soon.

Single and Shy singer, Zigi, just remember, the fact that your magical song, ‘Raise Your Hands’ sounds like Ezzay, Ghanaians might Jam to it but don’t you think when the song is played Ezzay will be remembered and not you.
